Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony was held at the race hotel – Hotel Torvehallerne in Vejle.
Speakers were director of Business and Tourism, Morten Damgaard Nielsen and president of the WPCC Commitee, Roberto Ronchi.
After the official opening Jacob Rasmussen from VisitVejle informed about the Grand Départ of Tour de France in 2022, where the third stage will start in Vejle.
First day of the World Press Cycling Championship
Todays discipline was Sprint. 300 meters of nice tarmac at the harbour of Vejle – on exact the same spot as the Tour de France starts its third stage in 2022.

Second day of the World Press Cycling Championship
Todays race was the ITT – Individual Time Trial.
The stage was set in the village Egtved – situated on top of the impressive valley of the Vejle River. Even thought the landscape is undulating, formed by the last ice age, the route was relatively flat and gave some good conditions and times for the competing participants.
The fastest circuit and todays best time was made by Holger Koopmann from Germany, who finished the 7,5 km route in 10,03’’ with an average speed of 44,730 km/t.

Third day of the World Press Cycling Championship
In a beautiful weather with blue sky, a lot of sun and only a little wind the participants once again gathered in Egtved. This time to compete in road race. Since early morning Vejle Cykel Club had their traditional road race with participants from 11 to 70 years. Following their races the WPCC started. The route was undulating – with one quite long and steep hill in the middle. After respectively five rounds for Women and M3 and seven rounds for M1 and M2 the first three in each category were:

After the award ceremony the WPCC flag was handed over to the entire German team as a symbol that WPCC2021 in Vejle now is finished and that the WPCC2022 will be held during the great event RadAmRing at Nurburgring in 2022.
